Set in a polarised India, at the time when religion eclipsed food, education and jobs, Disobedient Women is an Orwellian tale about a happy family who find their lives irrevocably changed because of the expression of a radical idea by the fiercely rationalist wife and mother. It touches on themes such as feminism, freedom of speech and religious intolerance against the backdrop of a nation in political upheaval. Published by Fly on the wall press (UK) in 2022.
